Kwara distributes 1,755 computers, devices to 70 schools

▪︎Digital literacy a necessity, not a luxury: Gov AbdulRazaq Kwara State Government on Friday flagged off the distribution of about two thousand computer devices for public senior secondary schools in the state to equip teachers and students with digital literacy skills. At least 70 public schools cutting across the 16 Local Governments of the state will receive 25 gadgets apiece in the first phase of the educational intervention. The project is being implemented by  the State Adolescent Girls Initiative For Learning And Employment (AGILE) project under the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development. TRCN ranks Kwara best in Northern Nigeria's Teachers' Qualifying Examination

The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) has ranked Kwara State first in Northern Nigeria in the recently concluded Professional Qualifying Examination (PQE) for teachers, with a 93.8 per cent pass rate. The recognition was conveyed in a congratulatory letter addressed to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and signed by the Registrar and Chief Executive of TRCN, Dr (Mrs.) Ronke Soyombo. According to the council, 678 candidates registered for the examination, 616 sat for it, while 578 passed, representing a 93.8 per cent success rate.
