All Development Projects Must Seek Approval, Warns KW-GIS

KW-HMB Pledges Improved Healthcare for Afon Community

The Kwara State Hospital Management Board (KW-HMB) has again reiterated its commitment to improved healthcare for the people of Kwara State. The Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr. Abdulraheem Malik stated this at the Palace of the Daudu of Afon, Alhaji Kolapo Anafi Balogun during a courtesy visit. Dr. Malik explained that  the Board would synergize with the community to form a health committee in the area, which will be saddled with the responsibility of informing the Board on issues requiring prompt response. NBTE hails Kwarapoly as Model Institution in National Accreditation

Kwara Govt Receives Accreditation Team for CAILS

The Kwara State Government has received an accreditation team for the College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies (CAILS) in Ilorin. The Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. (Mrs) Mary Arinde made this known today in her office while meeting with  the accreditation team from the National Board for Technical Education. Dr Arinde said the State Government was already prepared to receive the team and ready to improve on any areas identified by the team. The Kwara State Government has advocated for the adoption of climate focused agriculture, to ensure mitigation of the effects of climate change on agricultural productivity. Olufolake AbdulRazaq yesterday in Ilorin called on stakeholders, traditional rulers, corporate bodies and individuals to form a common front against Female Genital Mutilation(FGM) and encouraged Government at all levels to strengthen policies to ensure justice for  victims of FGM. The Kwara State Government has called on the governing councils of tertiary institutions in the State to be proactive and initiate more impactful innovations in their various institutions. KWSG flags off legacy court house project

The Kwara State Government has officially flagged off the construction of a legacy Kwara State Court House in Ilorin, the State Capital. The Court House will be a six storey building equiped with eight court rooms, offices, conference hall and library among other modern facilities to ease the operation of the judiciary in Kwara State. While handing over the project to the Consultant today at the site along Ahmadu Bello Way, the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Dr Segun Ogunsola said the Court House Complex is in line with the vision of the State Government to enhance judicial services. The Kwara State Government has promised to ensure that the Sobi Waterworks rehabilitation project is delivered promptly and called on the Contractor, Hydro Gold Limited, Engr. Adegboyega Durojaye, to speed up work on the project, noting that this will also prevent damages that could be caused in the forthcoming rainy season if the project is not completed in time.
