The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development hereby notifies the general public, particularly students, parents, guardians, and school administrators, that the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) scheduled for Tuesday, 15th July 2025 has been rescheduled for Thursday, 17th July 2025. Kwara AGILE Grants Scholarship to 32,420 Beneficiaries

The Kwara State Government has reaffirmed its strong commitment to promoting girl child education, by granting Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) scholarship to 32,420 beneficiaries describing it as a cornerstone of human development and a fundamental right of every girl child in the State.  The Project Coordinator, Kwara State Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) project, Mr. Adeshina Salami made this known today, at an advocacy/sensitization programme, on the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT); a sub-component of the project tagged "Girls Scholarship Programme," held at the school hall of Bishop Smith Memorial College, Ilorin, the State Capital. The Kwara State Government has expressed its readiness to collaborate with the Federal Ministry of Water Resources, Abuja on the Sustainable Power and Irrigation for Nigeria (SPIN) project. The Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Usman Yunusa Lade, gave the hint in his office on Thursday, while receiving a delegation from the Federal Ministry of Water Resources, Abuja, who have come to undertake an on-the-spot assessment of an existing Dam being considered as the project site in the state. In an effort to eradicate open defecation across the state, the Kwara State Government has unveiled public solar-powered lavatories at Alanamu, Eruda and Ajikobi communities in Ilorin. Commissioning the projects at Balogun Alanamu on Thursday, the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who was represented by the Special Adviser on Special Duties, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Jidda, added that the project was part of the state government's effort to encourage proper waste disposal across the state. Kwara State Government has spoken of its intention towards discovering hidden talents in the sport sector in the state. Director of Sports, Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Ibrahim Oladele Bako, stated this at the 2nd edition of Alice Alaba Under 10 Handball Championship Final organized for Primary Schools in Ilorin West Local Government Area of the state.
