KWSG Commends Nigerians in Diaspora for Renovation of Egbejila PHC

The Kwara State Government has expressed its appreciation to the Nigerians in Diaspora for the renovation of the Egbejila Primary Health Care Centre (PHC) in Ilorin. The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Amina Ahmed El-lmam, made the commendation on Friday while commissioning the newly renovated primary health care centre at Egbejila Community. The Commissioner reiterated the efforts of the Kwara State Government in the extensive renovation of health care centres across the state. "Just recently, the State Government commissioned the Alapa PHC, Ago Oja PHC, Magajingari PHC, among others," she noted. KWSG FLAGS-OFF 2024 MATERNAL NEWBORN AND CHILD HEALTH WEEK

...Targets over 100,000 pregnant women, 200,000 under 5 children.  The Kwara State Government, through the Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency, has flagged-off the 2024 first round of the Maternal Newborn and Child Health Week (MNCHW), which is aimed at providing intensive high impact low cost interventions across Primary Health Care Facilities in all the 193 wards in the State. KWSG REINTRODUCES SUBSIDIZED TRANSPORT PALLIATIVE PROGRAMME

The Kwara State Government has again reintroduced the subsidized transport palliative programme to cushion the effect of the Federal government's fuel subsidy removal through the State owned Soludero buses. The Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology, Hon. Damilola Yusuf Adelodun, disclosed this yesterday while speaking at Soludero park, Post Office, Ilorin, where the Soludero buses are to be used for the new transport palliative programme.  The Commissioner, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Mary Kemi Adeoshun,  added that this programme will drastically reduce road transportation fares along notable routes within Ilorin metropolis, for all categories  of students, workers and the public. Hon. Damilola also reaffirmed that these State owned Soludero buses will cushion the effects of transportation  problems in the State. Bolanle Olukoju, has made the prestigious Public Relations (PR) Power List 2024 for her outstanding contributions to the PR and communications industries both in Nigeria and abroad. In its bid to step up the Community Revolving Fund (CRF) implementation exercise for the State, the Kwara State Agro-climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscape (ACReSAL) has embarked on the formation of the Community Interest Groups (CIGs) in the selected watershed communities in the State for the programme. Earlier, visits were made to the communities to sensitize and enlighten them on the overview of what CRF entailed and the necessary criteria the Community Interest Groups (CIGs) must undergo to qualify for the CRF benefits.  According to the project plan, the Community Revolving Fund (CRF) programme will focus on ten (10) communities in the State to ensure a proper management plan.
