Kwara Government just getting started- Towoju

The Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Olabode George Towoju, has reiterated his commitment to the Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq administration in the state. Towoju made  the declaration in his office when the executives of the Concerned Youths of Nigeria (CYN) presented him with the award of "The Best Commissioner in Nigeria." "I dedicate this award to the Almighty God and to his Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Executive Governor of Kwara State. " The governor has made my job very easy for me because of his  commitment to the people of Kwara," he said. He added that all what the governor is doing is for the youths and assured that more will still be done. Earlier, the spokesman of the group, Mr Dexter Gideon, appreciated the Commissioner for his hardwork and commitment and said that the award was in recognition of his outstanding performance while discharging his duties.  Oluwafemi Adeoye, Information Officer,  MOC.

Olabode George Towoju, has described Barrister Anthony Kayode Towoju as a dedicated and committed Kwaran on the occasion of his birthday celebration. In a statement, Towoju commended the two -time Commissioner who had served in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Youth Development respectively. He rejoiced with him for witnessing another glorious year on earth and prayed to God to lengthen the years of the elder statesman.  In his words, "Barrister Anthony Kayode Towoju is a God-fearing and hard-working brother. KWSG committed to bettering Kwarans' lives - Towoju

The Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, has re-echoed the government's commitment towards embarking on quality road construction projects all over the senatorial districts of the state.  Towoju made this assertion during a radio programme in Ilorin. He lauded the administration of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for putting Kwarans first by helping to construct link roads, even to the innermost parts of the state, thereby making it easier to move about and do businesses from one point to the other.  "It gladdens my heart to tell you that we have been constantly getting positive feedbacks from the people and this is also fueling us to do more.  "Up to 200 roads have so far been done, with many still ongoing. Looking at the Oro-Ago road leading to Oyate, you will see that the newly-constructed road has greatly opened up the community to more economic activities and thereby helping in boosting the development of the town.  "

The Kwara State Commissioner of Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, has restated the need for workers in the state to cultivate a maintenance culture while handling government's property.  Towoju added that the state has standard equipment that, if managed well, will last several years and he said that the government is interested in all the state-owned media houses and has been investing heavily in all three of them. He made the submission during an interface with the management and staff of the Radio Kwara Broadcasting Corporation, which was carried out in order to familiarize with the workers and get to know their challenges. The Kwara State Commissioner of Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, has sought for cooperation with journalists in the state in order to move the state forward.  Calling on the journalists to always stand for the truth, he added that many cankerworms will soon be made open and the "evil doers" will not go unpunished.  Towoju said that the past administrations mishandled many government properties, adding that it is one of the issues the government of Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq is trying to solve.  The Commissioner made the submission at the Media Parley held at the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) at his maiden appearance at the Chapel.  He added that "it is unfortunate that things have gone bad but we must not rest. Olabode George Towoju, has assured the Press Secretaries and Information Officers of the Ministry of a better treatment under the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. Towoju  reiterated that part of the Governor's willingness to treat the foot soldiers of the Communications Ministry well is evident in the training workshop that was organized for Press Secretaries recently.
