Women Affairs Commissioner Visits Representative Ajuloopin

The Kwara State  Commisioner for Women Affairs, Hon.  Riskatullahi Mopelola  Abdulmaliq-Bashir,  has canvassed for synergy  with the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Emergency and Disaster Preparedness, Hon. Raheem Tunji  Olawuyi Ajuloopin, on Women Empowerment in the state.

In an interaction with the House of Representatives member in  his office, Mopelola discussed the need for collaboration with law makers on women empowerment and the plan of the ministry to revamp its skill acquisition center in line with global trends in women education, training and economic advancement.

 She called for more commitment on women and youth empowerment, saying that  the ministry is set to ensure that after their training, beneficiaries of the skill acquisition programmes are efficiently and adequately empowered to avoid poor return on investment.

Mopelola also projected the plan to engage psychologists to design a scientifically verifiable process of recruiting trainees for the ministry's Skill acquisition centre.

This  process, she said, would make it easy for the ministry to identify the skills that are commensurate to the innate potential of each trainee.

Responding to the submissions of the Commissioner,  Honourable Olawuyi Ajuloopin stated that his main focus on empowerment has always been on youth with a promise to partner with the ministry in sponsoring more candidates, especially women and youths for skill acquisition programme in the ministry. 

While appreciating the visit,  Ajuloopin  stated that it was worthy of note that Mopelola was the first commissioner to seek for his partnership and collaboration on empowerment and advancement for a ministry in the state.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
