Gov AbdulRazaq fulfilling his covenant with Kwarans -Towoju

The Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, has again, assured Kwarans of the commitment of Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq's administration to the implementation of people-oriented programmes and policies.

The Commissioner made the call while receiving newsmen in his office today and stated that since the present administration came on board, many unprecedented projects have been done , with many still ongoing.

"Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, since he came on board, has proven beyond reasonable doubt, that he can do the job and do it well. He has not only talked the talk but he has also walked the talk.

"You will all agree that AA is working and Kwara State is enjoying the dividends of democracy under the administration of Governor AbdulRazaq and we surely want this to continue or don't you want to continue enjoying?

"Tell me, which sector hasn't felt the governor's touch? Is it the education sector that has now started benefitting from UBEC fund as a result of the counterpart fund that Mallam AbdulRazaq paid? Just few days ago, there was a massive distribution of learning materials to our public schools. Tell me, is this governor not doing wonders?" he queried.

"Just this year, civil servants in the state started smiling to the banks as a result of the N30,000 Minimum wage that Governor AbdulRazaq started paying, something they never got or hoped to get from past administrators. You may also recall that His Excellency had earlier approved and implemented the new minimum wage for civil servants on Grade Level 01-07. This was done last year.

"Of a truth, we want more of this in Kwara State and we want Mallam AbdulRazaq to "go on soun." Even the civil servants are clamouring for the same thing. They are all happy.  Mallam AbdulRazaq is a trailblazer. He leads, others follow.

"See all the good roads we now have in the state as a result of so many road projects he has embarked on. Our people in Gwanarra axis of Baruten Local Government, for example, can tell the story better as the administration of Governor AbdulRazaq is constructing the Ilesha-Baruba-Gwanarra road.

"He has equally worked tremendously in all the sectors and the Health Sector too is not left out. At the General Hospital in Ilorin, an ultra modern Intensive Care Unit ( ICU) was built and equipped by the state government to attend to patients with trauma cases. An Eye Clinic also bestrides the landscape of the hospital to ensure that sight-related challenges are treated with best practices," the Commissioner said.

Towoju added that Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has done well in the fulfilment of his covenant with the people of Kwara State through the mandate they gave him at the last general elections and posited that it will be good if Governor AbdulRazaq can continue one more term.
