Towoju calls for maintenance of government's property

The Kwara State Commissioner of Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, has restated the need for workers in the state to cultivate a maintenance culture while handling government's property. 

Towoju added that the state has standard equipment that, if managed well, will last several years and he said that the government is interested in all the state-owned media houses and has been investing heavily in all three of them.

He made the submission during an interface with the management and staff of the Radio Kwara Broadcasting Corporation, which was carried out in order to familiarize with the workers and get to know their challenges.
" This government is committed to making everybody happy. Please let us take care of government's property as we take care of our own. We all need to think Kwara first in all we do. Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is concerned with workers' welfare and this made him to ensure the prompt payment of the N30,000 minimum wage. The administration is ready to make things work and I urge you to see to its manifestation," he said.

He congratulated Radio Kwara for the birth of the two new radio stations; Nootia FM in Okuta and Kakakin FM in Ilorin, while also commending the General Manager of Radio Kwara, Mr. Kayode Aremu, for his proactiveness.
" Your GM is very diligent. It is important for us to support the government and make people know more about government's activities. Radio Kwara is number one in Kwara State and the standard needs to be maintained," the Commissioner implored.

On his part, the General Manager of Rado Kwara, Mr. Kayode Aremu, appreciated the commissioner and promised that the station will continue to work efficiently, with better results as evidence.

The team proceeded on a facility tour of the station and it was suggested that the old studios could be turned to an attraction site for students and upcoming broadcast journalists.
The team also visited the defunct Radio Kwara AM station, Budo-Efo, in Ilorin South Local Government, to inspect the facility. 

On the team were the Director of Personnel, Finance and Supply of the Ministry, Alh. Hassan Afodun; Director of Information Services, Alh. Ayobami Akanbi ; Director of Public Orientation, Alh. Abdulfatai Adeniyi Kazeem and other directors.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
