Governor AbdulRazaq receives praises for his achievements

The Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has, again, been commended and labelled the "Governor of the Masses" as a result of the grassroots projects and many others that the administration is committed to. 

The commendations were rolled out by an Offa- born elder statesman, Alhaji Lamidi Olajide, from Ile-Opepe in Offa, Offa Local Government Area of the state, during a familiarization visit to the  office of the Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju.

Alhaji Olajide said he was impressed with the activities of the government and felt appreciations should be shown to the government that is making the people its top priority.

" I have come here today to express my gladness towards the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. We are enjoying the governor. In fact, my wife and children just recently benefitted from the N30,000 minimum wage payment.

" I am a Progressive. I can also see our Governor is after the progress of his people, seeing all the numerous projects that cut across education, works, health, water and others," he  added.

The elder statesman used the opportunity to urge the governor to extend the minimum wage payment to retired civil servants in the state, adding that with that, the governor should not bother with campaigning for second term, saying the retirees will be the ones campaigning for him. 

" With that, Governor AbdulRazaq does not need a campaign committee, we will go all out to campaign for him. In fact, without even campaigning, he will win. We are behind the governor and will continue to support him," he said. 

He commended the governor for ongoing road projects in Offa such as the Igbana road, Tipper Garage along Adesoye road, among others. 

He also commended the State Commissioner for being a field Commissoner, as he made reference to Towoju's recent visit to Baruten Local Government Area of the state. 

In his response, the State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Olabode George Towoju, appreciated the elder statesman for coming and gave the assurance that the governor will continue to surpass people's expectations.

KWASSIP Opens Application Portal for Kwapreneur 5.0

The Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is excited to announce the opening of the online application portal for the fifth edition of the Kwapreneur initiative (Kwapreneur 5.0). Common Entrance Materials: KWSG Directs JSS Principals, Headteachers of PPS To Report for Collection

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has directed all Principals of Junior Secondary Schools and Head-Teachers of all Public Primary Schools across the state to report at the Quality Assurance Bureau Zonal Offices in their area for the collection of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) registration materials as from Monday 1st July, 2024. In a statement issued by the Ministry today in Ilorin, all Private Primary Schools are to come to the  Quality Assurance Bureau Headquarter's office, Ilorin, for their pupils registration of Placement Examination (Common Entrance Examination) materials with evidence of payment of their taxes.
