Abolore Congratulates Newly Appointed Ilorin East Executive Council Members

The Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Afees Abolore Alabi, has congratulated the newly inaugurated Executive Council Members of Ilorin East Local Government, describing their emergence as a welcome step toward strengthening local governance and delivering responsive leadership at the grassroots.

The appointments, recently approved at the local government level, include the following:

1. Mujidat Abdulraheem Asude (Gambari II) – Secretary

2. Yahaya Hassan Olanrewaju (Gambari II) – Supervisor

3. Noah Moses Jimoh (Oke-Oyi/Oke-Ose) – Supervisor

4. Baale Ibrahim (Agbeyangi) – Supervisor

5. Alhaja Bolaji Sanni (Magaji Aare II) – Supervisor


Dr. Abolore charged the new council members to approach their responsibilities with dedication, integrity, and a people-first mindset. He emphasized that their roles are vital in supporting programmes that align not just with the immediate needs of their communities, but also with the agricultural and rural development priorities of the present administration, as well as the long-term vision for inclusive growth across the State.

He also acknowledged the enabling environment provided by the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, whose commitment to functional local governance continues to foster meaningful leadership at the community level.

The Commissioner reaffirmed the Ministry’s readiness to collaborate with local councils in advancing sustainable agriculture, improving productivity, and deepening developmental impacts across the State.
