KWEPA Seals off Another Residential Building over Environmental Infractions

The Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA) has again sealed off a three storey building over  environmental infractions by occupants of the building. The building which houses thirty rooms, is located at Gaa-Imam, behind Adisco International Works Company Ilorin, and was sealed off at about 12:30 pm on Tuesday for lack of toilet facilities. The Acting General Manager of the Agency, Hajia Idayat Folorunsho Adeola, who was represented by Sanitarian Nusirat Oyewole Temitope led the enforcement team. She explained that the Agency had received complaints from residents of the area that occupants of the building often discharge human excreta to their compound through the filled up latrine, thereby causing offensive odour to the entire community. Kwara CSC Schedules Interviews for Shortlisted Medical and Health Candidates

Following the recent vacancy announcement for medical and health positions in the Kwara State Civil Service, the Civil Service Commission has scheduled oral interviews for shortlisted candidates. KWASAA To Adopt Full Automation To Curb Revenue Leakages – Adeyeye

…Seeks KWIRS’ support   The newly appointed Acting General Manager of the Kwara State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KWASAA), Mr. Toba Adeyeye arpa, has pledged to adopt an automation system to drive the agency and eliminate revenue leakages.   Adeyeye made the announcement on Monday during a visit to the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KWIRS), Engr. KWSG Commences Training of 397 HOS, SSO, QAD Officers on KwaraLearn

In a bid to improve teaching methodology from analog to digital, the Kwara State Government has commenced the training of 397 Officers, selected from Heads of Sections (HOS), School Support Officers (SSO) and Heads of Quality Assurance Department (QAD) in order to ensure effective and efficient discharge of duties. The Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr Lawal Olohungbebe, stated this during the opening ceremony of  the 8-day training, which was organised by KwaraLearn in conjunction with Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development; scheduled to take place from Monday, 19th May, 2025 to Tuesday, 27th May, 2025 at the Staff Development College, Fate, Ilorin. Kwara Airlifts 3rd Batch of 560 Pilgrims Today to Saudi Arabia

The third batch of intending pilgrims of 560 from Kwara State this afternoon (Saturday) 17th May, 2025 have departed for Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj rites for 2025. Speaking with the pilgrims before their departure, the State Amirul-Hajj, the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Barrister Ismail Bolaji Yahaya appealed to them to be patient, conduct themselves well and be good ambassadors of the State throughout their stay in Saudi Arabia. Also speaking, the Chairman of the Board, Professor Mashood Mahmud-Jimba appreciated the support of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to the  success of all the programmes and activities of the Board. The Kwara State Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Usman Yunusa Lade, has enjoined the Company - DELKO International Nigeria Ltd., handling the ongoing waterworks rehabilitation project at Omu-Aran to brace up with the work.  The Commissioner stated this when he carried out an on-the-spot assessment of the project recently. Hon. Lade expressed satisfaction with the level of work done and counselled the company to deliver the project in accordance with the contract specifications.
