KWASAA To Adopt Full Automation To Curb Revenue Leakages – Adeyeye
…Seeks KWIRS’ support
The newly appointed Acting General Manager of the Kwara State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KWASAA), Mr. Toba Adeyeye arpa, has pledged to adopt an automation system to drive the agency and eliminate revenue leakages.
Adeyeye made the announcement on Monday during a visit to the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KWIRS), Engr. Shade Omoniyi, at her office in Ilorin.
He explained that the new system will focus on online payment platforms and dedicated billing and collection software.
“KWASAA is automating its internal processes, transitioning all third-party practitioners and business entities onto a fully digital platform designed to enhance transparency, efficiency and regulatory oversight,” he said.
He therefore sought the support and cooperation of the Service in achieving these objectives.
Earlier, the State Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Bola Olukoju, had introduced the Acting General Manager to the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service, noting that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq appointed him to streamline procedures and ensure transparency and efficiency in the signage and advertising sector.
The Commissioner added that the government had taken firm, decisive action to rid the State of illegal, substandard and non-compliant advertising structures.
This initiative, she said, aims to restore order, enforce compliance and strengthen accountability across the sector and praised the Governor for entrusting capable young professionals with critical responsibilities.
In her response, Engr. Omoniyi congratulated Adeyeye on his appointment and provided a brief overview of KWIRS operations. She encouraged him to "change the narrative" at KWASAA and assured him of KWIRS's full support for the initiative.
Yomi Ajiboso, the KWIRS official responsible for overseeing parastatals, reinforced the Chairman's comments, describing KWASAA's planned digital transformation as "very welcome."
