IBEDC: KWSG CALLS FOR REASONABLE SERVICE CHARGES

KWSG ORGANISES CAPACITY ENHANCEMENT TRAINING FOR WORKERS

Livestock Development: Kwara L-PRES Inspects Completed Projects

The projects include the provision of four boreholes with ancillaries and watering points along the stock route in Asa Local Government Area of the State. Kwara Water Corporation Shuts Eastern Line for Repairs till April 18

Kwara State Water Corporation on Saturday said it will shut down the Eastern line (in Ilorin) for some repairs from next Monday, April 15. "This is to inform  all consumers that we shall be shutting  down  Eastern line for repair job on the leakage  pipe  of  High Lift pump no. 5 from Monday  15th of April, hoping  to finish on or before  Thursday  18th  of April, 2024," according to a statement by Assistant General Manager (Mechanical & Electrical). Kwara Confirms Receipt of New Grains from FG, Distribution Begins Soon

Kwara State Government said it has received 12,058 bags of grains of maize, millet, and sorghum from the Federal Government. The breakdowns of the 12,058 are: 7,042 of 50kg bags of maize; 2,916 of 50kg bags of millet; and 2,100 of 50kg bags of sorghum (which are still being received as at today).  The state government also announced the receipt of 8,700 of 25kg bags of rice, according to a statement by the Commissioner for Communications Mrs Bola Olukoju.  The statement said the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Senator Abubakar Kyari will flag off the distribution of the grains in the state very soon — in manners that would follow the distribution template sent by the Federal Government. The state government has constantly supported the Kwara public to cope with the inconveniences that trailed the removal of fuel subsidy. I write to address the recent disinformation triggered by a recent report in the BBC on the Kankan LGEA School in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State.  I understand that the BBC report was a standalone story, which did not delve into the context of the peculiarity of the Kwara situation as a result of our history. Eid-l- fitr Celebration; KWARTMA Deploys 365 Personnel, Implores Road Users of Safety Consciousness amidst Celebration

The Kwara State Road Traffic Management Authority (KWARTMA), has deployed 365 Officers and Men for safe and hitch free movement of people and goods within the State during this year Eid celebration.                   The Ag. Law Banning Charcoal Production, Intact - Gov't

Kwara State Government has reaffirmed the ban on production of charcoal in the state, adding that the law is intact.  The State Commissioner for Environment, Mallam Shehu Ndanusa Usman revealed this during the week, a press session, in his office. According to him, "the law banning the production of charcoal in Kwara State is still intact. Whoever is caught violating the law will be sanctioned accordingly." The Commissioner therefore warned charcoal producers to stop illegal felling of trees and support government in its efforts to eradicate deforestation, to avoid destruction of the climate.
