The Kwara State Government has commenced capacity enhancement training for  1,500 State Civil Servants due for promotion.

Addressing the participants at the opening, the State Head of Service, Mrs Susan Modupe Oluwole explained that the training was pertinent to improve the productivity of the civil servants in service delivery.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary ( Establishment), Mallam Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed, She applauded the State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazak for approving the conduct of the program and his unrelenting commitment to ensuring efficient service delivery in the State Service despite the dwindling economy.

She charged the participants to be very attentive to the lectures and adequately grab the content to achieve the objective of the program warning that anyone that fail the examination after the training would not be promoted to the next grade level.

The HOS also revealed that the State Government was currently working with relevant Stakeholders towards an acceptable welfare package for the civil servants to meet the current crunch.
