Eid-l- fitr Celebration; KWARTMA Deploys 365 Personnel, Implores Road Users of Safety Consciousness amidst Celebration

The Kwara State Road Traffic Management Authority (KWARTMA), has deployed 365 Officers and Men for safe and hitch free movement of people and goods within the State during this year Eid celebration.
The Ag. Chief Executive Officer of the Authority, Engineer Bamidele Michael  while making the statement in his office today Monday 8th April, 2024 stated that 80 personnel are on regular Mobile Patrol within the metropolis including the construction zones while 230 personnel are manning different gridlock prone points.

He further stated that 55 personnel were deployed to different highways to forestall any form of crash and proactively act in case of emergencies.

Bamidele explained that routes such as; Eyenkorin - Olooru - Bode-Saadu - Jebba, Ogbomoso - Otte - Airport, Zango – Oke-Ose – Oke-oyi and Ganmo - Amoyo - Ajase-Ipo highways are all under  surveillance by KWARTMA to ensure the safety of  travellers into and from the State taking into cognizance the increase in traffic volume during the period of celebration.
He added that the swift deployment of personnel follows the Federal Government declaration of Tuesday, 9th and Wednesday, 10th of April, as public holidays for the special feast thus necessitating the need to nip the pending traffic menace which could  arise in the bud.
He therefore charged road users to be safety conscious before, during and after the Eid celebration by obeying all traffic rules and regulations.

While wishing muslim faithfuls across the globe and particularly Kwarans a hitch-free Eid fitri, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadhan, he pledges the Authority’s continuous selfless service to the people of the State in line with Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrasaq’s vision for changing the narrative.
