In a bid to maintain order and ensure public safety, the General Manager of the Directorate of Physical Planning and Development Control (PP&DC) at the Kwara State Geographical Information Service (KWGIS), TPL. Abdulsalam Abdulakeem, has issued a public advisory regarding outdoor advertisements and construction materials. TPL Abdulsalam, who stated this recently during an interview with pressmen in his office, said individuals and businesses must seek and obtain site approval from KWGIS before installing billboards or any form of outdoor advertising structures, noting that this regulation aims to ensure compliance with the state's guidelines and maintain a visually pleasing environment. The Kwara State Government has officially unveiled a newly renovated six-room office space to support the activities of the State AIDS and STIs Control Programme (SASCP) and the Society for Family Health (SFH).  This significant milestone, according to the Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina Ahmed El-Imam, who commissioned the newly renovated office, marks another step forward in the state’s commitment to achieving HIV epidemic control. The Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Usman Yunusa Lade, has inspected the ongoing rehabilitation of buildings at the Head Office of the Kwara State Water Corporation in Ilorin, which is being handled by Aevin Construction Company, describing the level of work done as satisfactory. The Commissioner, who carried out the inspection during the week, noted that the contractor was doing a quality job that will stand the test of time. “With this, we are hopeful that the first phase of the project will be completed within the specified timeline,” Hon.
