WR Commissioner Inspects Ongoing Rehabilitation of Kwara State Water Corporation Head Office

The Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Usman Yunusa Lade, has inspected the ongoing rehabilitation of buildings at the Head Office of the Kwara State Water Corporation in Ilorin, which is being handled by Aevin Construction Company, describing the level of work done as satisfactory.

The Commissioner, who carried out the inspection during the week, noted that the contractor was doing a quality job that will stand the test of time.

“With this, we are hopeful that the first phase of the project will be completed within the specified timeline,” Hon. Lade said.

According to him, “the rehabilitation of Kwara State Water Corporation head office is long overdue due to the essential services it provides for the people of the state, but now we're grateful that the Governor has graciously approved the rehabilitation project.”  

Also speaking, the House Committee Chairman on Water Resources, Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Yunus Oniboki, commended the Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for awarding the contract, saying that the rehabilitation would improve productivity in the Agency when completed and counseled the contractor to deliver a quality job.

"If a working environment is not conducive, the staffers won't be comfortable too, but once the environment is conducive, it gives staffers the joy to perform well and be more productive,” he said.

In his remarks, the General Manager, Kwara State Water Corporation, Mr. Gana Makun, assured that the Corporation would continue to monitor the project to ensure quality service delivery.

In his response, the representative of Aevin Construction Company, Engr. Musa Surajudeen, guaranteed that the company will deliver a quality project within the stipulated timeframe.
