KWSG Seeks Collaboration with Artisans for Improved Service Delivery

The Kwara State Government, through the Ministry of Energy, has reiterated its commitment to collaborating with artisans in the State as part of efforts to improve the quality of goods and services available to residents and maintain a comprehensive database of practitioners in the electrical sector. This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Energy, Engr. AbdulAzeez Kola AbdulGaniy who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Olaitan Afolabi, during a follow-up meeting with stakeholders from the State’s artisan community held today at the Ministry's Conference Room. Mr. Afolabi emphasized the importance of proper registration and regulation of electrical artisans to promote professionalism and ensure safety and quality in service delivery. Kwara Seals Extra Mural Coaching Centres, Cyber Cafes Over Violations

The Kwara State Government has sealed off some extra mural coaching centres, computer, and cyber cafes across the State for failing to register, pay annual renewal fees, and comply with other regulatory requirements in violations of the State's regulations. Some of the affected centres were operating illegally without meeting the State's stipulated guidelines. This was revealed by the Executive Director of the Agency for Mass Education, Mallam Yusuf Saka who was represented by the Agency’s Desk Officer for Continuing Education, Mr Adedare Olusegun and Mrs Komolafe Atinuke during an enforcement tour to the affected centres, recently, conducted alongside with the Kwara State Internal Revenue service (KWIRS) enforcement team. Kwara State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, has expressed concern over the delay experienced by students sitting for the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) across the State, saying the late arrival of examination materials has caused the delay. Dr. Olohungbebe voiced his concerns on Wednesday during an on-the-spot assessment of several schools across Moro, Ilorin East, Ilorin South and Ilorin West Local Government Areas, describing the disruption, which also affected the English Language papers, as regrettable. KWSG receives Delegates from NEC for Evaluation of Developmental Projects

The Kwara State Government has received delegates from the National Economic Council (NEC), who have visited the State to evaluate developmental projects. The Commissioner for Planning and Economic Development, Dr. (Mrs) Mary Arinde, who welcomed the delegates from the NEC at the conference room of the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday, reiterated the State Government’s commitment to rewriting the development story of the State of Harmony on a positive note. Kwara State Government inaugurates CAILS Governing Board

The Kwara State Government on Wednesday inaugurated the six-member Governing Board of the College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies (CAILS), Ilorin. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held at the Conference Hall of the Governor's Office, the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Mamman Jibril Saba, presented appointment letters to the new board members.
