Kwara State Government inaugurates CAILS Governing Board


The Kwara State Government on Wednesday inaugurated the six-member Governing Board of the College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies (CAILS), Ilorin.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held at the Conference Hall of the Governor's Office, the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Mamman Jibril Saba, presented appointment letters to the new board members. He urged them to foster a cordial working relationship with the management of the college.

Prof. Saba congratulated the appointees and encouraged them to be committed, innovative, and proactive in transforming the college into a center of excellence. He emphasized that CAILS is a unique institution that requires special attention and dedication.

"Be dedicated and let your contributions reflect in the administration of the college through innovation, hard work, and a commitment to excellence," he said.

Also speaking, the Director of Economic Affairs, Dr. (Mrs.) Anu Idowu, congratulated the board members and urged them to carry out their duties diligently and in accordance with public service standards.

In his remarks, the Board Chairman, Dr. Abdulkadir Sambaki, assured that the new board would work diligently toward revitalizing the college to fulfill its mandate. He acknowledged the challenges facing the institution and pledged that the board would work collectively to address them and elevate the college’s standards.

On behalf of the board, Dr. Sambaki expressed gratitude to His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON), for the opportunity to serve, pledging their full commitment to upholding the confidence placed in them.

The newly inaugurated Governing Board includes Dr. Abdulkadir Sambaki (Chairman), Yahaya Abdulrasaq Ayinde, Hawa Ahmed Lare, Maman Khadijat, Yinusa Adeniran Gbadamosi, and Hon. Aderamo Kuburat Mopelola as members.
