Kwara SSG Honours Retired Permanent Secretary for Meritorious Service

The Secretary to the Kwara State Government, Prof. Mamman Saba Jibril, has celebrated the retirement of Mrs. Esther Folashayo, the immediate past Permanent Secretary (Political), recognising her for years of dedicated and unblemished service to the state.

Speaking at a send-forth ceremony held in her honour, Prof. Jibril praised Mrs. Folashayo for her notable contributions, especially her service in the Governor’s Office. He described her career as exemplary and urged other public servants to remain committed to duty and avoid complacency.

“Public servants must always strive to earn their pay by working diligently. Only then can the government’s people-centred policies and programmes be fully realised,” he said.

Also speaking at the event, the Permanent Secretary (General Services), Alhaji Abdulganiyu Shuaib Yitta, commended Mrs. Folashayo for her humility, commitment, and professionalism, noting that he greatly enjoyed working with her.

In their separate remarks, the Permanent Secretary (Service Welfare), Dr. Olufunke Mercy Shittu, and the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, Barrister Sabitiyu Kikelomo Grillo, congratulated the retiree and thanked her for her contributions to the progress of the state. They both wished her a fulfilling and prosperous retirement.

In her response, Mrs. Folashayo expressed heartfelt appreciation to the management and staff of the office for their support throughout her career.

Delivering the vote of thanks, the Director of Personnel, Finance and Supply, Mr. Bamidele, acknowledged the management's support and cooperation in making the event a success.
