Elevation of Kwara Attorney General to SAN excites Ministry's Staff

The elevation of the Kwara State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Senior Ibrahim Sulyman (SAN) by the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee, to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has sparked widespread excitement and celebrations among various categories of staff of the state Ministry of Justice.

Reacting to the inauguration of the Attorney General by the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Barr Sabitiyu Kikelomo Grillo, rejoiced with the Commissioner over the elevation, describing it as well deserved.

She explained that the feat is a clear testament to the Attorney General's commitment to the development of law, particularly in the area of public interest law.

The Permanent Secretary added that the elevation was made possible by the conducive environment put in place by the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in ensuring quick dispensation of justice in the state.

According to her, "the State Government has strongly relied on the Attorney General's expertise and legal advice in the governance of the state. "I am also aware of the far reaching reforms introduced by the Attorney General in the Ministry and the Ministry's justice delivery system.

"I am excited and proud to observe that our joint efforts and the support of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to the Ministry's justice reforms have been recognized at the highest level in Nigeria with the elevation of the state Commissioner for Justice." She said.

Barr. Grillo reminded the Attorney General to see the elevation as a call to work even harder in ensuring that common man continues to enjoy protection of the law by ensuring that the Ministry under his watch continues to respond positively to ever changing dynamics of law and justice delivery.

The Permanent Secretary who expressed confidence in the Commissioner's ability to justify the elevation, described it as highly merited, emphasizing that the Attorney General is a genius legal practitioner in all ramifications.

Also reacting to the the professional prestige, the Director of Public Prosecutions, Mr. Mohammed Ayoola Akande, who disclosed that the elevation is a merited honour, described the Attorney General as an ambitious and eminent legal practitioner who actively pursues success, adding that his elevation did not come as a surprise.

He described the prestigious rank as a tangible proof of his legal acumen, integrity, and dedication to justice at all times, adding that it is another progressive feather in the ministry's camp.

The Director of Personnel, Finance and Supply, Mr. Adegboyega Ayeni, who congratulated the Attorney General on the honour, described him as a distinguished legal practitioner, adding that the elevation is a true testament to his expertise and intellectual rigor.

The director wished him greater wisdom and continued triumph in his legal career.

.....Vehicular, Human Movement Permitted Kwara State Government has announced that the Monthly Environmental Sanitation for the month of September will hold on Saturday, September 26,  2026, between the hours of seven o'clock and ten o'clock (7:00am to 10:00am) in the morning. KWSPHCDA to Partner JSI on Routine Immunisation, Polio Eradication

The Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency (KWSPHCDA) is set to partner the JSI Research and Training Institute, Inc. to strengthen routine immunisation and support the interruption of circulating Vaccine-Derived Poliovirus Type 2 (cVDPV2) transmission in the state.
