Monthly Environmental Sanitation Holds Saturday 26th

Kwara State Government has announced that the Monthly Environmental Sanitation for the month of September will hold on Saturday, September 26,  2026, between the hours of seven o'clock and ten o'clock (7:00am to 10:00am) in the morning.

This was contained in a statement issued from the Office of the Commissioner for Environment, Hajia Nafisat Musa Buge. 

The statement added that vehicular and human movement will be permitted during the period of the exercise to allow interested Community members, Organisations and allied Stakeholders participate actively in ensuring a thorough clean-up and removal of debris and other materials that could impede free water flow during heavy downpour from drainages and water ways.

Residents were equally enjoined to ensure both their residential and business environments are given due attention towards ensuring a clean, safe and healthy environment.

Hajia Buge further stated that the Ministry will provide waste disposal vehicles to various Groups and Organisations who have expressed interest in working with government in their respective communities to prevent avoidable disasters as it could arise from flood or diseases.

Kwara Govt Reaffirms Commitment to Health Workers’ Welfare

The Kwara State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare, professional development and wellbeing of medical doctors and other healthcare professionals in the state. Kwara, WHO Develop Costed Health Promotion Strategic Framework

The Kwara State Government in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), has commenced a three-day workshop to develop the State Health Promotion Strategic Framework Costed Implementation Plan aimed at strengthening health promotion interventions and improving public health outcomes across the state.
