KWEPA Inspects Pharmacies in Ilorin

The Hospital and Pharmacy Unit of the Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA) has carried out a thorough inspection of pharmacies across Ilorin metropolis as part of its ongoing regulatory efforts to ensure environmental health compliance and the protection of public safety.

The inspection focused on evaluating sanitary conditions, waste disposal practices, and overall environmental management within the pharmacies. Numerous outlets were visited, with detailed observations made regarding their adherence to environmental safety and hygiene.

The inspection team led by Mr. Jamiu Isiaka, representing the General Manager of KWEPA, Hon. Jide Aina, reiterated the Agency’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding public health by ensuring that all health care-related establishments operate in full compliance with approved environmental regulations.

Several pharmacies were commended for maintaining exemplary practices, while others were advised to implement necessary improvements. However, where violations were identified, official notices were issued, accompanied by stern warnings indicating that continued non-compliance would result in appropriate sanctions.

KWEPA reassures the public of its dedication to fostering a cleaner, safer, and healthier Kwara State for all residents.
