Kwara Govt Applauds Ifelodun LG's Focus on Rural Developmental Projects
The Kwara State Government has applauded the leadership of Ifelodun Local Government for its commitment to rural development through impactful capital projects.
The Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Development, Hon. Abubakar Bata, gave the commendation recently during an on-the-spot project monitoring tour carried out by the Ministry across the Local Government Area.
The Commissioner noted that the projects executed by the Council are largely focused on rural communities, ranging from the construction of a block of two classrooms at Budo-Owode in Share, to the grading and reopening of local roads, provision of boreholes, and opening of new market spaces, among others.
He observed that the Executive Chairman of the Local Government has consistently prioritized the actual needs of the people, focusing on economic developmental initiatives that will bring lasting benefits to the grassroots.
Speaking during the inspection, the Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, said the projects are in line with efforts to complement the giant strides of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in developing rural areas through critical infrastructure.
He said all the projects executed by the Council are based on community demands and fall within his inclusive growth agenda.
The Commissioner was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Iyabo Modupe Adekeye, Director of Local Government Affairs, Mrs Akande Christiana, among other officials.
