KW-SAPZ Project Receives Transactional Advisory Firm

The Kwara State Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ)Project today received a team from the project's Transactional Advisory Firm (SAO Capital) to resolve operational roadmap for effective implementation of the agro-Industrial project.


Receiving the guests today, the State Project Coordinator, Kwara State Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ ) Project, Engr.Dr. Busari Toyin Isiaka, said the  meeting was a milestone in the itinerary of implementation master plan, adding that the visit will expedite and factor appropriate steps, into the roadmap of implementation.


The Coordinator explained that KW-SAPZ is   livestock-based, concentrating on dairy and beef production, as the project  involves Four Agricultural Transformational Centres (ATCs) and an Agro-Industrial Hub (AIH).


Busari highlighted the remarkable supports Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, has provided for ease of implementation, with a commendation to His Excellency, for always being proactive at investing in the project.

He then revealed that KW-SAPZ will soon commence pilot provision of improved breed of animals, modern milking machines  to farmers for improved productivity and as an initial experiment for over all productivity, which he noted will enhance transformation from the traditional approach of dairy operation to the modern method.


According to him, KW-SAPZ has already carried out a lot of activities like profilling, mapping, badeline studies,  baseline documentary, gender study among others, in full preparation.


While charging the firm on timely delivery of terms of reference, Busari sought the firm's maximum support to facilitate smooth Implementation, stressing that 90% of success in the project implementation lies in the firm's hand.


Speaking on behalf of the team, the Director, SAO Capital, Mrs. Omotola Shotinrin, disclosed that SAPZ is a world standard project and the firm's major responsibility is to ensure that KW-SAPZ project is delivered as a top-notch project of international standard.


She affirmed it is the function of the  firm to add necessary value to the project in a way that its services will expedite the project's object of job and wealth creation, adding that its services will attract foreigners to the peoject.


The Director pointed out that the submission of plan, bidding processes among others as some of the points where the firm will be involved in the project implementation.



Other members of the visiting team included the Project Manager, Mr. Peter Fayomi and Project Officer, Mr. Kadir Rasheed Ajao among others.
