Commissioner for Transportation Receives Award of Excellence

The Kwara State Commissioner for Transportation, Hon. Lafia Aliyu Korasabi, has been honoured with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his unwavering commitment and outstanding service to the State, presented by the Kwara Alert Media in his office recently.

Presenting the award, Mr. Emmanuel Remilekun who represented the Kwara Alert Media, said the award was based on merit, in recognition of his outstanding performance while describing Hon. Lafia as one of the selected and most dedicated commissioners in Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration so far. He praised the Commissioner’s ability to work in tandem with the government’s vision, in various capacities, which has contributed immensely to the development of the State.

"Hon. Lafia Aliyu Korasabi has served in multiple key capacities, including as Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftancy Affairs and Community Development, Commissioner for Energy, Commissioner for Planning and Economic Development and his recent appointment as the pioneer Commissioner for the newly established Ministry of Transportation is seen as a strategic move to further harness his experience and administrative expertise", Remilekun affirmed.

Receiving the award, the Commissioner expressed deep appreciation to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the opportunity to serve in various capacities. He noted that the Governor’s visionary leadership has enabled him to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of Kwara State.

He then thanked the Kwara Alert Media for the honour, pledging to continue to give his best,  leveraging on the visionary blueprint of Governor AbdulRazaq to deliver outstanding results, while transforming the transportation landscape in Kwara State.
