UniPrime Innovation Partners Kwara on Youth Empowerment, Entrepreneurship

In a bid to foster innovation and economic empowerment among young entrepreneurs, UniPrime Innovation Limited has visited the Kwara State Ministry of Youth Development to begin a promising dialogue focused on youth development and entrepreneurial growth in the State.

The Commissioner for Youth Development, Ambassador Ndanusa Usman Shehu, who received the team in his office today, reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at ensuring youth advancement.

Amb. Ndanusa Usman Shehu expressed appreciation for the initiative and commended UniPrime for its proactive approach to supporting youth-led enterprises.

He acknowledged the dedication of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, whom he described as a “youth-loving Governor” committed to improving the lives of young people across all sectors.

“This partnership could be a game-changer for many of our young entrepreneurs. We are proud of the Governor’s unwavering support for youth-centred policies, and we welcome this collaboration with open arms,” Amb. Shehu stated.

Also present at the meeting was the Director of Youth Development, Alhaji Abdulsalam Akeem, who praised UniPrime Innovation Limited for bringing what he described as a “timely and transformative opportunity” to the Ministry. He assured the visitors of the Ministry’s full support and pledged seamless cooperation to ensure the success of the proposed initiatives.

Speaking on behalf of UniPrime Innovation Limited, the Chief Executive Officer expressed gratitude to the Ministry for the warm reception and openness to collaboration. He highlighted the company’s commitment to empowering young Kwarans with practical skills to position them for long-term success.

“As part of our proposal, we aim to train over 2,000 youth entrepreneurs by September. The training will cover essential topics such as writing a well-structured business plan, preparing compelling proposals, applying for grants, and other business development skills,” the CEO shared.

The proposed partnership is expected to usher in a new wave of entrepreneurship innovation in Kwara State, giving young people the tools and support they need to thrive in today’s competitive economy.

Kwara Civil Service Commission Schedules Oral Interviews for Shortlisted Medical and Health Workers

The Kwara State Civil Service Commission will conduct oral interviews for shortlisted medical and healthcare candidates on Wednesday, 21 May 2025 , and Thursday, 22 May 2025 , beginning at 8:00 a.m. each day at the Commission’s headquarters on Ahman Patigi Road, GRA, Ilorin. Environmental Sanitation Holds Saturday

The Kwara State monthly environmental sanitation exercise  for the month of May, will hold on Saturday, 31st 2025 between the hours of seven o'clock and ten o'clock (7:00am to 10:00am) in the morning.  This was contained in a press statement issued today from the office of the state Commissioner for Environment, Hajia Nafisat Musa Buge. As usual, the statement enjoined residents to participate fully in the sanitation exercise, by clearing and cleaning both their residential and business environments.  According to the press statement signed by the Press Secretary of the Ministry  Mrs Shakirat Muritala; "there will be no vehicular and human movement across the state, during the period of the exercise."
