Kwara LG Commissioner Commends Ilorin South on Project Interventions

The Kwara State Government has commended the Ilorin South Local Government Council for its community development projects, recognizing their positive impact on the local community.

 The Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, and Community Development, Hon. Abubakar Abdullahi Bata expressed the commendation during the launch of the second phase of projects monitoring at the Ilorin South LGA.The inspection was aimed at  promoting effective governance and ensure seamless collaboration between the State and local governments.

The Commissioner emphasized the importance of delivering quality governance at the grassroots level, noting that the State government is committed to supporting local governments in achieving their development goals targeted at the grass roots.

The monitoring exercise seeks to assess project implementation, identify challenges, and provide solutions to ensure successful project completion. This will enable the government to evaluate the effectiveness of its interventions and make informed decisions.

Honourable Bata expressed appreciation for the council's efforts under the leadership of Executive Chairman Hon. Nuhu Podo, and acknowledged the tangible benefits brought to the people, demonstrating the council's commitment to good governance.

Among the projects visited were drilling and installation of motorized boreholes at Centre Igboro (BF I), Sabo - line (BF III), construction of concrete erosion control at Niger, opposite Niger Motel, Procurement and installation of Transformers at Ojomu Community, Basin and repair of several damaged motorized boreholes across the political wards of the Council.

The Ilorin South Local Government Council has been working tirelessly to improve the lives of its citizens. The community development projects are a testament to the council's dedication to delivering essential services to citizens.

The second phase of project monitoring will provide valuable insights into the council's progress. It will also help identify areas for improvement, enabling the government to provide targeted support.

By working together, the State and local governments can achieve greater development outcomes. The Kwara State Government remains committed to supporting local governments in their efforts to delivering quality governance and services to citizens.
