Kwara Taps Into Solid Minerals Potential, Targets Higher IGR Through Partnerships


Kwara State Government has pledged to have solid partnership with investors, with the aim of identifying the abundance of mineral's resources in the State, to further give a boost to her Internally Generated Revenue. 

The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Solid Minerals Development, Chief (Mrs) Abosede Bureimoh, made this known on Wednesday, at the first quarterly 2025 Inter-Ministerial Press Briefing, organized by the Kwara State Ministry of Communications, held at the conference room of the Finance Ministry , Ilorin.

According to the Commissioner, the Ministry of Solid Minerals Development has also sought for a robust collaboration with Kwara Internal Revenue Services on ways to enhance revenue generation through haulage collections.

She reaffirmed the need to partner with the Petroleum Environment and Solid Minerals Degradation Awareness Association (PESMDAA), to sensitize relevant stakeholders on the elimination of land degradation and irregularities in the solid minerals sector in Kwara State.
