Kwara Govt Mandates KWASRRA Registration for All KWASSIP Beneficiaries

In a bid to provide targeted access to social investment opportunities for citizens based on accurate data, the Kwara State Government has mandated the registration of all beneficiaries of the Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) with the Kwara State Residents Registration Agency (KWASRRA), with immediate effect.

This directive was contained in a press statement issued by the General Manager of KWASSIP, Dr Abdulwasiu Olayinka Tejidini. According to the statement, “The registration is to ensure a credible and reliable database of all categories of beneficiaries, for adequate planning and social inclusion. Upon completion of the registration, residents will be issued unique State Security Identification (SSID) numbers/cards, which will be used for easy identification and proper documentation during the social investment process and disbursement of funds.”

The statement also disclosed that, henceforth, any beneficiary without an SSID number will not be eligible to receive financial incentives or benefits from the government. The registration exercise is open to all citizens and residents of Kwara State.

It further emphasised that the mandatory registration is crucial to enhancing security and economic planning. Residents are therefore urged to support the initiative for the general well-being of the populace and to enable data-driven development.
