We’ll Continue to Work Closely with Kwara Gov, Deputy, to Ensure Protocol Compliance — Bello
The Kwara State Ministry of Special Duties has promised to continue working closely with the Office of the Governor and the Deputy Governor to ensure protocol compliance during strategic meetings and events.
The Commissioner for the Ministry of Special Duties, Hon. Olanrewaju John Bello made the disclosure during the Q1 2025 Inter-ministerial briefing organized by the Ministry of Communications on Tuesday.
While speaking with newsmen, Hon. Bello, said, “as a Ministry that serves as an intervention Ministry for special tasks outside the traditional scope of other ministries, we will continue to play a critical behind-the-scenes role in ensuring seamless execution of State functions.
“We profoundly appreciate His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and our collaborating ministries and agencies for their support in the first quarter of 2025.
"In Q1 2025, we successfully coordinated all state-level ceremonial events, including the hosting of high-level delegations, national officials, and special envoys visiting Kwara State."
While recounting some of the activities of the Ministry of Special Duties, the Commissioner said, his Ministry worked closely with the Offices of the Governor and the Deputy Governor to ensure protocol compliance during strategic meetings and events, including the launch of key infrastructure projects and intergovernmental forums.
Continuing, "we have also reviewed and updated the State Protocol Handbook to reflect contemporary standards in event management and diplomatic engagements."
Hon Bello, added that the activities of his Ministry may not always be visible to the public eye, but nevertheless it is critical in upholding the dignity and professionalism of the State government.
He, however, called for unwavering support for his Ministry from relevant government agencies, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and Civil Society Groups for better service delivery.
