KWSG RESTATES ITS COMMITMENT TO IMPACTFUL RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES
The Kwara State Government has restated its commitment to providing impactful programmes as dividends of democracy to people at the grassroots level.
The Commissioner for Planning and Economic Development, Dr (Mrs) Mary Arinde, stated this on Friday while addressing the media about the template used for many impactful programmes such as the NG-CARES, under which the Kwara State Community and Social Development Agency (KWCSDA) and numerous delivery platforms are used for executing the programmes.
The Commissioner noted that the KWCSDA is currently participating in the NG-CARES programmes financed by the State Government and supported by both the Federal Government and the World Bank, adding that many communities have benefited from the multimillion naira project, in accordance with their respective requests.
She disclosed that the programme was introduced to all the States of the Federation and Kwara State has not in any time playdown the good role of such initiative, revealing that many packages are underway from the programme, which shall be made known to the state after the approval of the Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON.
Dr Arinde urged all residents in the state to disregard any unfiltered and misleading information on implementation pattern of NG-CARES in Kwara State, stressing that such information is meant to discredit the good initiatives of the state.
