KWARTMA outlines alternative routes as restriction continues on Ahmadu Bello Way

The Kwara State Road Traffic Management Authority (KWARTMA) has reiterated its continuous enforcement of restriction of some categories of vehicles along Ahmadu Bello Way, Ilorin in line with its enforcement policy.

Recalled that the Authority had  earlier announced the restriction of  movement of commercial tricycles, motorcycles, and heavy-duty trucks along the route.

In a statement released from the office of KWARTMA Ag.Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Bamidele Michael,  commercial motorcycles and tricycles can pick and drop passengers at the feeder roads leading to Ahmadu Bello Way, such as Yoruba Road, Civil Service Road, Alimi Road,Jani Ibrahim Close, Nigerian Correctional Service Road, Saadu Alanamu Road, NYSC/Public Complaints Road, Lajorin/High Court Road, and Sulu-Gambari Road.

However,the categories of vehicles highlighted are hereby warned to desist from driving or crossing through Ahmadu Bello way or face the sanctions accordingly. 

Engineer Bamidele reiterated that the move is part of the efforts of KWARTMA in repositioning of the State and restoration of public order and safety.

 He therefore sought the cooperation of all stakeholders  to achieve sanity along the route and other parts of the state.
