Kwara Opens to Partnership on Livestock Development - KWSG
As part of efforts government's efforts at strengthening livestock development in the state, Kwara State Government is set to partner Milki Barn Agroserv Limited, with the aim of setting up a Dairy Farm.
The state Commissioner for Livestock Development, Hon Oloruntoyosi Thomas-Adebayo disclosed this over the weekend, when she visited Milk Barn Farm in Fasola, Oyo State.
The Commissioner explained that, government is working round the clock to lay a solid foundation for the newly created Ministry of Livestock Development, stressing that her visit to the farm was to understudy the farm and work towards replicating its Dairy section in the state.
The Commissioner who was in the company of Director Livestock of the Ministry, Alhaji Muhammed Ahmed Umar, also spoke of the present administration's readiness to place emphasis on cattle fattening, beef production among others, with a view to strengthening livestock development.
Thomas-Adebayo affirmed that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is committed to open up new opportunities through the Ministry, that would benefit farmers, herders, processors and distributors in the livestock farming value chain.
The present administration, under the watch of Governor AbdulRazaq would stop at nothing to unlock hidden potentials in the livestock sector, for the betterment of the state.
Responding, the Founder/CEO, Milkin Barn Agroserv Limited, Tony Jibunoh, who earlier conducted the Commissioner round some sections of the farm, expressed readiness to partner the state in livestock development.
