Kwara LG Projects: Communities, Monarch eulogize Council

In continuation of the tour by the Kwara State Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development to  Councils in the State, the management team of the Ministry was at the Ilorin East Local Government Council earlier today to inspect and commission some of the capital projects recently executed.

Among the projects commissioned were the renovation of two classrooms at Panada LGEA school, construction of modern toilets at Zango, construction of solar powered boreholes at Marafa Town, Iponrin and Gbagede Magaji Aare 1.Others are the completion of Maya Primary Health Centre, construction of solar powered borehole at the Council Secretariat, conversion of spoiled hand-pump borehole to a solar powered borehole at Aiyetoro and renovation of two classrooms at the Bukola Saraki Junior Secondary School at Amule, among others.

The Commissioner for the Ministry, Hon. Abubakar Abdullahi Bata who couldn't hide his joy after commissioning the projects and listening to the submissions of the Monarchs on behalf of their respective communities, thanked the Executive Chairman for identifying with his people who trooped out to welcome him.
Hon. Bata who disclosed that he was aware of the enormous request pending before the Executive Chairman in project interventions,  appealed to him to keep the tempo high as he had started on a positive note.

In his remarks, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Garuba Olayinka Agbere attributed his success to the good foundation of the present administration under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq who since inception had been the voice of the voiceless in the provision of basic amenities.

According to him, all the projects commissioned today were the promises he made during his electioneering campaigns to his constituents, while reiterating his commitment to ensuring that all the promises made would be accomplished.

He disclosed that the provision of a solar powered motorized  borehole at the A Division for the Police and the construction of new offices for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps at Oke - Oyi were all geared towards encouraging and appreciating the tremendous work of the security personnel for the relative peace at the Council.

In their separate remarks, the Sarki Gambari, Alhaji Yahaya Ahmed, Alangua of Maya, Alhaji Saadudeen Akanji Ayelade, Magaji Ayetoro, Mallam Kareem Olarewaju, all appreciated the Executive Chairman for the provision of the projects in their respective domains.

The Monarchs disclosed that several appeals had been forwarded to successive administrations without success, affirming that their respective communities would continue to hold the Chairman in high esteem and assured him of their support to the success of his administration.
