KW-HMB Commends Health Workers for Dedication to Duty
The Kwara State Hospital Management Board (KW-HMB) has praised health workers for their commitment to providing quality healthcare services to the people of Kwara State.
The Executive Secretary of KW-HMB, Dr. Abdulraheem Malik, made this commendation during a routine monitoring and supervision exercise at the Ajikobi Cottage Hospital in the Ilorin West Local Government Area of the State.
Dr. Malik noted that good professional practices are being displayed, particularly in adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), expressing satisfaction with the attention given to patients.
"This is a classic example of a good management team, responding positively to the many resources this administration is investing in our healthcare sector", stated Dr. Malik.
He emphasized that the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is committed to continuously improving healthcare service delivery in the State.
Dr. Malik also reassured health workers that projects such as solar installation and others would be implemented across all health facilities in the State, thereby enhancing the working environment for both health workers and patients.
In his remarks, the Chief Medical Director of Ajikobi Cottage Hospital, Dr. Salihu Jimoh expressed gratitude to the Kwara State government and the management staff of the Board for creating a conducive working environment with 24-hour power supply. He noted that the commendation from the Executive Secretary would serve as a morale booster for the team to provide even better care for their patients.
Other hospitals visited during the monitoring and supervision exercise included Centre Igboro Cottage Hospital and Ogidi Cottage Hospital, where assessments were conducted for a damaged roof due to heavy winds, and an overhead tank requiring maintenance to ensure provision of safe water for staff and patients.
