INFRASTRUCTURAL PROJECTS: KWSG PLANS TO COMMENCE INTENSIVE INSPECTION
…Reiterates Zero Tolerance for Substandard Job.
The Kwara State Government has planned to commence vigorous inspections of all infrastructural projects embarked upon by the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration, as the various projects near completion, reiterating that the State Government still maintains zero tolerance for shoddy project execution.
The Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Dr Segun Ogunsola stated this recently while addressing the Management of the Ministry.
Dr Ogunsola said it is important for staff of the Ministry to complement the ongoing efforts of the State Government to reposition the infrastructural assets critical for the upliftment of the citizens, adding that all hands must be on deck to guarantee that money invested in the projects are judiciously utilised.
He also directed the staff to redouble their efforts in monitoring all projects under the supervision of the Ministry in order to keep the contractors on their toes to meet the terms of their contracts.
Earlier, the Director, Personnel, Finance and Supply, Mr Adeola Adefila, pledged the commitment of the staff to the successful implementation and execution of programmes and projects of government, saying the achievements so far were commendable.
While briefing the Commissioner on the performance of the Ministry so far, Mr Adefila thanked him for his vibrant leadership that has resulted in the transformation experienced in the running of the affairs of the Ministry.
The Directors in the Departments of Quantity Survey, Building Services and Public Building and Works all gave an overview of progress made so far on the mandate of their departments, assuring that they will continue to put in their best in order to ensure that the state government effectively delivers the benefits of governance to the citizens.
