Tertiary Commissioner Charges Management on Proactiveness, Teamwork

The newly deployed Commissioner for the Ministry of Tertiary Education, Hajia Sa'adatu Modibbo Kawu has charged the management of the Ministry to work as a team to develop the educational sector of the State.

Hajia Moddibo Kawu who made this known today in a meeting with the management staff of the Ministry, urged them to be proactive in discharging their duties.  

She emphasized the commitment and giant strides of the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON in uplifting the educational standard in the State.

"The newly established Kwara University of Education and the proposed Aerospace University are testaments to the landmark achievements of this present administration, which the management team must work assiduously to achieve the set target for the State of harmony", she emphasized.

She, however, urged the management to support and work as a team in order to improve on the achievements of the present administration.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Barrister Sabitiyu Grillo,  welcomed Hajia Modibbo Kawu to the Ministry and promised her unflinching support to the Commissioner.

In another development, the Commissioner received the management teams from the Kwara State University of Education (KWASUED), College of Education, Ilorin, Aviation College and the College of Nursing, Ilorin on familiarization visits to her Office.

Kwara TESCOM releases CBT results, to announce cutoffs ahead of interview, screenings

Kwara State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) said applicants for the public school teaching jobs can now check the results of the CBT done earlier on Saturday.  TESCOM Chairman Mallam Bello Taoheed said all the applicants who sat the test can access their results on the portal. "This is the first step after the exams. The Commission will soon release the cutoffs that would determine the candidates who proceed to the interview stage, among other things," he said. "At the end of the CBT, a total of 8,529 sat and completed the exam across the centres. The breakdowns are as follows: COED Ilorin, 2,891; Ilorin West LGA, 1,991; UNILORIN, 1,677; Lafiagi, 812; Offa, 586; Oko, 297; Patigi, 275. A total of 9,459 applicants had been invited for the CBT across the seven centres. The remaining applicants did not show up for the exercise. Kwara TESCOM Opens Application Portal for Teaching Jobs

•Urges applicants to adhere to rules spelt out in initial statement •Portal opens Wednesday, 5th February - Friday, 14th February, 2025 The Kwara State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has released the application link for its teaching job openings. Interested and qualified individuals can apply through: https://tescom.kwarastate.gov.ng .
