KWSG INSPECTS RAINSTORM HAVOC AT ANSAR-UD-DEEN COLLEGE, IJAGBO

The Kwara State Government has inspected the havoc caused by the early rainstorm which destroyed over ten (10) classrooms at Ansar-ud-Deen College, Ijagbo on Monday.

The Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, led the team from the Ministry to asertain the remote cause and level of damages done by the rainstorm to the School on Tuesday.

The Commissioner appreciated the mutual working relationship between the State government, teachers and the people of the Community, assuring that the State government would not renege in its efforts to provide good and quality education as well as make the learning environment habitable across the State.

While promising that the State government will look into the requests made by the teachers and the Community to enhance efficient  learning delivery in the School, Dr. Olohungbebe urged the School Management to forward necessary information about the damages caused by the rainstorm and photographs of the affected areas to the Ministry to enable due process and prompt action.
Both Principals at the Senior Secondary School and the Junior Secondary School of Ansar-ud-Deen unanimously pleaded that the State government should urgently come to their aid in rebuilding the classrooms that were totally destroyed by the rainstorm on Monday.

They acknowledged the support of the Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and applauded the prompt response by the Commissioner to inspect the damages caused by the rainstorm.

Kwara State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) said applicants for the public school teaching jobs can now check the results of the CBT done earlier on Saturday.  TESCOM Chairman Mallam Bello Taoheed said all the applicants who sat the test can access their results on the portal. "This is the first step after the exams. The Commission will soon release the cutoffs that would determine the candidates who proceed to the interview stage, among other things," he said. "At the end of the CBT, a total of 8,529 sat and completed the exam across the centres.
