KWMEHCD: NEW COMMISSIONER MEETS WITH MANAGEMENT, CALLS FOR STAFF COOPERATION
The newly sworn-in State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr Lawal Olohungbebe has called for the support and cooperation of all the staff of the Ministry with a view to achieving success in his new assignment.
The Commissioner stated this on Monday during his maiden meeting, held with the management of the Ministry, in his office.
Dr Olohungbebe said his tenure would be performance-driven, stressing that no progress could be achieved without the support of the entire staff of the Ministry.
He expressed determination towards improving the educational policies of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration, emphasising the need for quality education with a view to achieving desirable quality output in teaching and learning in a conducive environment.
The Commissioner assured that the present administration is committed to providing quality and functional education in the state.
In her remark, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs Olanrewaju Rebecca Bake, noted that the Ministry is blessed with competent, dutiful and hardworking staff, whom she said are committed to supporting the new Commissioner in his determination towards implementing the educational agenda of the present administration.
The Permanent Secretary recalled the efforts of the past Commissioner, Hajia Sa'adatu Modibbo Kawu, whom she described as a goal-getter that worked hard towards solidifying various educational policies of this administration.
While highlighting the functions of each of the seven (7) Directorates of the Ministry, she assured the Commissioner of the support of the entire staff of the Ministry.
