KAWU CHARGES INSTITUTION HEADS ON TEAM WORK

The newly deployed Commissioner for the Ministry of Tertiary Education, Hajia Sa'adatu Modibbo Kawu has charged heads of tertiary institutions to work with her as a team to develop the educational sector of the State.

Hajia Modibbo Kawu who made this known today while receiving the management team of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, and the Kwara State College of Education, Oro on a separate congratulatory visit to her office, urged them to be proactive in discharging their duties.  

She reiterated the commitment and giant strides of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to the educational sector by improving the standards of learning across the State.

Hajia Modibbo urged the management of the two institutions to improve their capability to uphold government's mission of providing quality education to citizens of the State. She appreciated the team respectively for the kind gesture and timely visit.

Speaking on behalf of the team, the Provost, College of Education, Oro, Professor. Mukaila Aremu thanked the Almighty Allah for the return of Hajia Sa'adatu Modibbo Kawu to the Ministry of Tertiary Education and promised his unflinching support to the Commissioner.

Also Speaking, the Rector of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Engr. Mohammed Abdul welcomed the Commissioner and registered his total loyalty to the administration of Governor AbdulRahman  AbdulRazaq. He prayed for God to guide and guard the administration for more achievements.

Kwara TESCOM releases CBT results, to announce cutoffs ahead of interview, screenings

Kwara State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) said applicants for the public school teaching jobs can now check the results of the CBT done earlier on Saturday.  TESCOM Chairman Mallam Bello Taoheed said all the applicants who sat the test can access their results on the portal. "This is the first step after the exams. The Commission will soon release the cutoffs that would determine the candidates who proceed to the interview stage, among other things," he said. "At the end of the CBT, a total of 8,529 sat and completed the exam across the centres. The breakdowns are as follows: COED Ilorin, 2,891; Ilorin West LGA, 1,991; UNILORIN, 1,677; Lafiagi, 812; Offa, 586; Oko, 297; Patigi, 275. A total of 9,459 applicants had been invited for the CBT across the seven centres. The remaining applicants did not show up for the exercise. Kwara TESCOM Opens Application Portal for Teaching Jobs

•Urges applicants to adhere to rules spelt out in initial statement •Portal opens Wednesday, 5th February - Friday, 14th February, 2025 The Kwara State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has released the application link for its teaching job openings. Interested and qualified individuals can apply through: https://tescom.kwarastate.gov.ng . The link will go live at 12 midnight on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025, and will close on Friday, February 14th, 2025.
