Kwara L-PRES Assures of Improved Collaboration with Relevant Stakeholders
In a strategic move to deepen the existing collaborations with various groups in project implementation, towards achieving the developmental objectives of improving livestock production, increasing commercialisation and strengthening the resilience of farmers in livestock production in the Kwara, the State Project Coordinator of the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES) Mr. Olusoji Oyawoye has received the Association of Spouses of Local Government Chairmen in Kwara State on a courtesy visit to the coordination office of L-PRES in Ilorin.
The Project Coordinator, represented by the Project's Gender Based Violence Officer, Mrs. Kuburat Omoniyi, highlighted some of the achievements of the project in improving the economic livelihood of the people through impactful infrastructural development, capacity building as well as empowering livestock farmers with the necessary inputs such as pelleting and crusher machines, distribution of livestock enzymes to farmers, among others.
The Coordinator further informed the team that the project was ensuring gender inclusiveness in the implementation of its activities, in line with the world bank guidelines.
Speaking on behalf of the team, Hajiya Ramat AbdulMalik said the Association is collaborating with all agencies of government to positively impact the lives of the people, especially, women at the grassroot.
She appreciated the State government for bringing such an impactful project to the State and called for improved collaboration with the project office.
In attendance were the Project's Social Safeguard Officer, Mrs. Folake Iseyemi, Project's Value Chain and Market Linkage Officer, Mr. Oluwaseyi Dara and the Project's GBV Officer, Mrs. Kuburat Ayoola Omoniyi.
