Kwara Govt Approves Installation of Dedicated Power Transformer to Fire Service Station


The Kwara State Government has approved the immediate installation of a newly procured dedicated power transformer to the Kwara State Fire Service Station at Wahab Folawiyo Road, Ilorin to enhance service delivery.

The Commissioner for Energy, Engr. AbdulAzeez Kola AbdulGaniy, disclosed this today at the Ministry's premises while receiving the newly procured transformer from the contractor.

"This 100 KV power transformer is dedicated solely to the fire service office to create an enabling environment for its workers, leading to improved service delivery," he added.

The Director Personnel Finance and Supply, Alhaji Hassan Taiye Afodun appreciated the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for prioritizing the welfare of its workers. He assured Kwarans awaiting similar gestures to remain patient, as the government is committed to listening to their concerns and addressing their needs.

Earlier, the Acting Director Electrical Engineering, Engr. Fisayo Dada, stated in his remarks that the transformer had been tested and certified for immediate installation.

Other key officers present at the reception of the transformer were the Controller of Finance and Account, Alhaji Hakeem Idris, Head of procurement and store, Mr Abiodun Oladimeji, among others.
