Kwara Commissioner Bags award of Excellence


The Kwara State Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina Ahmed El-Imam has been given award of Excellence,  for Improvement of Populations Health Outcomes, in recognition of the state's commitments to public health, in the sector.

According the convener and Special Adviser to the President on Health, Dr Salma Ibrahim Anas, the award was in recognition of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's unwavering commitments to public health improvement & disease prevention, health systems strengthening, infrastructure upgrades, Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH).

The Presidential aide added that, Kwara Government's consistent and tireless efforts  at ensuring universal health coverage for Kwara residents, is recognized and worth rewarding.

"The award was earned due to the supportive and innovative leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in the health sector in Kwara State", she concluded.

The Strategic Health Summit 2025, themed "One Vision, One Future: Uniting Stakeholders for a Healthier Nigeria," was held at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

The summit chaired by the 
Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF),  Senator George Akume, was attended by several other notable stakeholders and policy makers nationwide.
