KWSG HANDS OVER RENOVATED TANKE PHC CENTRE TO COMMUNITY


…Posts a resident Doctor, other cadre of health workers to the centre.


The Kwara State Government has officially handed over the Primary Health Care Centre at Tanke to the community after it has been completely renovated with a view to improving access to quality and affordable health care services for the members of the community.

The Executive Secretary, Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Nusirat Elelu, who performed the handing over ceremony at Tanke yesterday, added that a resident Doctor and other health workers posted to the facility will go a long way to enhance patronage, describing it as another great intervention and a huge win for the state government to bring health care services closer to the people at the grassroots. 

According to her, “The renovation of the primary health facility at Tanke was funded by the Kwara State Government under the leadership of the Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as part of his efforts to ensure that quality and affordable healthcare services delivery are provided at health facilities across the state. 

The Executive Secretary who was represented by the Director, Personnel, Finance and Supply, Mr. Ajide Olayioye, commended Governor AbdulRazaq for his huge investment at the Primary Health Care Development Agency.

She charged members of the community to take ownership and ensure that they make good use of the facility as well as protect the facility, which will largely serve their interest.

In his remarks, the Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, Mr. Ayo Aliu, implored the community to ensure good use of the facility, stressing that a resident Doctor and other  cadre of health workers have been posted to the facility for work to commence as soon as possible.

The Director, Community Health Services, Mrs Rukayat Alabi, appreciated the Alangua of Tanke Community for always supporting the facility, urging the Chairman of Ilorin South Local Government, Hon. Nuhu Podo, to support the facility in the provision of electricity as well as provision of a competent security personnel to ensure safety of the facility.

The Executive Chairman, Ilorin South Local Government, Hon. Nuhu Majeed Podo, appreciated the Governor for his immense effort in ensuring that quality health care services are provided for the people of the state by renovating more health facilities across the state.

The Alangua of Tanke, Ile-Iwe Community, Alhaji Umar Salaudeen, thanked Governor  AbdulRazaq for the renovation of the facility and prayed that the  present government will continue to succeed, promising that the community will not only make use of the health facility but also protect it jealously.

The President of the Community, Hon. Sulaiman Akanbi, also appreciated the state government for a job well done while using the opportunity to plead for more hospital equipment.
