KWSG Commends Former Director on Retirement

The State Commissioner for Women  Affairs, Hon. Chief (Mrs) Afolashade Oluwakemi Opeyemi has commended the dedication and teamwork spirit of the out gone Director Child of the Ministry, describing it as excellent and worthy of emulation.

The Commissioner gave this commendation during the week, at the Sendforth ceremony organised in honor of former Director Child, Hajia Mariam Yusuf, at the conference hall of the ministry.

Chief Opeyemi described Hajia Yusuf as a lovely woman who always carried everyone along in the discharge of her official duties.

The Commissioner who thanked God for making the day a reality, gave kudos to Governor AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq led administration, for its landmark achievements across the state, therefore thanked His Excellency for being gender friendly, in his government.

In view of the above, Afolashade affirmed that, the outgoing Director has also made remarkable marks while in service, charging other staff to emulate her leadership style, adding that she could be recommended for posts of responsibility in future.

"I therefore charge you to keep up the good job even after retirement." The Commissioner charged.

In her remarks, the Director Personnel, Finance and Supply of the ministry, Hajia Mariam Ishola appreciated the celebrant for her selfless meritorious service to her State, with prayers that God will continue to guide her steps.

She also Commended the Commissioner for piloting the affairs of the Ministry with the fear of God, in order to achieve greater success.

Responding, the  outgoing Director Child, Hajia Mariam Yusuf thanked the Commissioner for her understanding and leadership style while she was in government service, adding that, the Commissioner always stood by her, to ensure she succeeded.

She appealed to other staff of the ministry to give all necessary supports to the commissioner in the overall interest of the state.      

While appreciating the present administration for the opportunity given her to serve the state, Yusuf, who bowed out of service, after 35 years of meritorious service to the State, prayed that God grants Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq more wisdom to take Kwara State to grater heights.
