LADE INSPECTS ONGOING LAVATORY PROJECTS IN ILORIN

The Kwara State Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Usman Yunusa Lade has undertaken an inspection visit to the ongoing public lavatory projects at Eruda, Balogun Alanamu, and Abata Asunkere communities all in the Ilorin metropolis.


The Commissioner who carried out the inspection visit of the facility on Thursday stated that the purpose was to conduct on the spot assessment of the work done so far by the contractor.


Hon. Lade expressed confidence in the work done and urged the contractor to speed up the pace of work on the projects, noting that the defects identified in the projects be fixed as directed.


He emphasized that the construction of the ongoing projects is an indication of the state government's efforts and commitment to eradicating open defecation in Ilorin metropolis and the state in general.


Speaking on behalf of the contractor handling the projects, Afric AMZ International Limited, Mr. Adeleke Sheyi promised to deliver quality and standard jobs.


Mr. Sheyi stated that they will do everything possible to fix the defects and deliver the projects on schedule.
