KWSG Commends Organization on Intervention

The Kwara State Government has commended Marie Stopes International for its significant contributions to reproductive health interventions in the State.

The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Amina Ahmed El-Imam, gave the commendation during a one-day stakeholders meeting, held today at Training of Trainers Hall, Ministry of Health, Ilorin.

Dr. El-Imam reiterated the State government's commitment to providing a conducive environment for all development partners, assuring Marie Stopes International of government’s supports at all times.

The Commissioner also affirmed the State government’s commitment at ensuring the continuity of quality healthcare services, even after the exit of the donor, noting that it's crucial to the sustainability of the programme. 

She expressed gratitude to the Country Director for the support provided so far by the organization.

In his remarks, the Country Director, Mr. Emmanuel Ajah thanked the Kwara State Government for creating an enabling environment for Marie Stopes International personnel to operate.

The Country Director who was represented by Mr Faloye Abimbola said: "We truly appreciate the unwavering support from Kwara State Government, which has led to better outcomes for our organization."

 Ajah therefore called for a continued support for development partners, to attract and facilitate further advancements in the health Sector. 

The meeting was attended by: Directors in the State Ministry of Health, a representative of the Executive Secretary of the Primary Health Care Development Agency, as well as various Heads of Units and Programme Officers.

Kwara SUBEB Announces Modalities for Teachers' Recruitment Exercise

 • Applicants to Report at Their Local Government Areas on September 5 The Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (KWSUBEB) wishes to inform the general public that all applicants for its community-based recruitment exercise are required to report to their respective Local Government Areas on Thursday, September 5th, 2024, by 9:00 AM prompt. In addition to new applicants, Kwara SUBEB will also review the applications of individuals who achieved high scores and hold strong qualifications from earlier recruitment exercises.
