KWSG ASSURES CDHR OF UNFLINCHING SUPPORT

The Kwara State Government has again assured the Committee for Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) of the State government's support in ensuring that its activities are disseminated to every secondary schools in the nooks and crannies of the State.
The Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Hajia Sa'adatu Modibbo Kawu, gave the assurance yesterday, while receiving the Advocacy Team in her office.
The Commissioner stressed that the Ministry will do everything humanly possible to make the programme successful in the State, stating that every organisation and relevant Stakeholders will be consulted.
Hajia Madibbo Kawu expressed confidence that the programme will be given priority by ensuring that everyone partakes in it so as to attain its success, urging the Committee to abide by the laid down principles guiding its operation when it goes on sensitization campaigns to all schools.
Earlier, the State Chairman, Committee for Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), Comrade Afolabi Lukman, disclosed that the purpose of the visit was to intimate the Ministry with the programme and seek for government's permission to take this programme to all the schools across Kwara State.
He applauded the State government for its efforts in revamping the education sector, commending Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration for also constructing and renovating Kwara State School for Special Needs.
