Kwara Govt Sets to Host International Youths Day

The Kwara State Commissioner for Youths Development, Hon. Shehu Ndanusa Usman has assured Kwarans of a successful International Youths Day celebration, as the State is scheduled to host the Nigerian Youths Summit, to be celebrated for the first time outside the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The Commissioner made this known while playing host to the State APC Youths Leader and representatives of the Nigeria Youths Parliament in his office.

Hon. Ndanusa emphasized that the incredible impact of young people in driving digital innovation for sustainable development will be celebrated, reiterated the support of His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in ensuring that youths receive maximum support to harness their potentials.

The Commissioner disclosed that the theme for this year's International Youths Day is "From Clicks to Progress: Youths Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development,". He explained that the theme emphasizes the crucial role of digitalization in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

He reiterated that the Kwara State Government has laid down plans to help youths discover their full potentials to foster sustainable growth and development, adding that the event will create the opportunity to address the challenges confronting youths and decide the support needed for their development. He explained that youths who have made remarkable achievements in various fields will also be celebrated to motivate others.

He assured the team that the State will host a successful celebration as notable personalities will be on ground to help inspire, train and educate youths for positive, inclusive and sustainable development.

The State Youths Leader for APC, Hon. Lawal Sulaiman Duduyemi, noted that the summit will be an avenue to communicate ways to tap into the endless capabilities of Nigerian youths.
