GOVERNOR ABDULRAZAQ ASSURES CONTINUE SUPPORTS TO KWARTMA, EXPRESSES SATISFACTION TO THE AUTHORITY FOR JOB WELL-DONE
The Executive Governor of Kwara State and Chairman Nigeria Governor's Forum Mall. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON had assured continue supports to KWARTMA while also expressing satisfaction to the operations of the Authority within the state.
This was made known today Wednesday 31st July, 2024 when the Technical Assistant to the Governor on Transport matters Hon. Abubakar Musibau visited the Authority's Headquarters in Ilorin.
The governor's aid appreciated the work of Authority and commended the staff for always putting on their best while at duty on Kwara roads, he assured the Authority that the Governor is not unaware of the challenges hindering her performance and that the Governor is doing all he could to ensure that traffic management in Kwara state is the best in the country by his investment in road infrastructure, traffic management and public works to improve safety and socioeconomic development of the state.
Earlier In his welcome address, the acting Chief Executive Officer of the Authority Engr. Michael Bamidele thanked the Technical Assistant for the visit, he appreciated Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his supports to the Authority in discharging her duties and also on his huge investments on road reconstruction and networking. He particularly praised the Governor for the procurement of Ten operational motorcycles, opening of Offa Area Command and prompt approval of the Authority's requests. Kwatma has been able to clear the underneath of Post office flyover, as well as discouraging road encroachment at Ipata Market and tackle flagrant parking along Ita-Amodu Road, the Ag.CEO said.
In the team of the TA are Hon. Kolo M. Jerry SSA Media and Public Relations, Hon. Makanjuola Yahaya Darosa, Hon. Femi Yusuf and Hon.Tayo Abraham.
The Authority however assures members of the public its continuous commitment to making the road safe to all road users, particularly the motoring public.
