LG Elections:KWASAA Pledges Equality Among Politicians

The Kwara State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KWASAA)has promised to give equal opportunities to all the political parties and politicians to paste their campaign posters in the forthcoming Local Government elections in the State.

The General Manager of the Agency, Alhaji Al Imam Ismail Asukuti who made the pledge while addressing journalists in his office recently, promised that the Agency would provide a level playing ground for all politicians regardless of their political affiliations.

 Asukuti who emphasized the need for politicians to play the game according to the rules, urged them to visit the Agency for enquiries on how to paste or erect their posters and billboards to avoid infractions.

 He also called on the general public to cooperate with the Agency to ensure a tidy and clean environment before, during and after the elections, adding that the Agency would work round the clock in the discharge of its responsibilities of regulating, controlling and enforcing the appropriate use of campaign posters.

He commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for giving the Agency a free hand to operate with the responsibility to regulate and control signage and outdoor industry in the State.
